Formula E driver faced the longest stage of this year's edition on his debut

Sacha Fenestraz can call himself now also a rally raid driver. The Formula E driver went more than well in his debut on gravel and sand, in Brazil's Sertões BRB Rally. As the first stage was cancelled, the second, between Formosa (Goiás state) and Santa Maria da Vitória (Bahia) turned out to be the real start of the race. The longest timed stage of this year's edition, with 430 kms (670 in total). Not the best condition to a debut, but one that he enjoyed a lot.

With his mother Stephanie (a Dakar veteran codriver) alongside him, the franco-argentinian driver spent almost a half day on his Can-Am Maverick X3 seat in a day full of fast paths, sand and narrow gravel roads. A little off didn't sand deter him to complete the stage in a very promising 33rd position among the 89 UTVs (the 11th in UTV 2 class).

"It is a completely different universe compared to the tracks. I'm exausted, mentally and phisically, but I enjoyed that quite a lot, and I'm ready for more", said Sacha. The Sertões BRB 2024 has a 3.070 km total route, that started and will end in Brasilia, national capital. On this monday, the caravan reached Luís Eduardo Magalhães, in Bahia, where will happen the marathon stage, on tuesday.
